For How much? Webinars, web conferencing, desktop sharing, auto responders and web hosting.
Yes I thought the price was a misprint too. I use all these services from various providers as I need them but they are expensive. When GVO announced all of these services at their entry level package, I thought they were either kidding or it was a misprint. What surprised me the most was their offer of web conferencing and desktop sharing in the same package. Both are key elements for holding webinars or online meetings / conferences with prospects and customers anywhere anytime.
Web conferencing has been around for a while. It started with large corporations using services like WebEx. It’s a great service as it eliminates distances. People from all over the world can have a meeting with participants in multiple countries / cities in just a snap.
I was skeptical – very skeptical because of the price point. WebEx and GotoMeeting offer such features but WebEx is totally out of reach for small business while GotoMeeting prices start at $49/month just for web conferencing. So I decided to sign up and test the GVO web conferencing feature.
The video based tutorials were short and to the point and in about 30 minutes, I was up and running. I was able to do an online meeting/conference with or without webcams. All parties don’t have to have a webcam, in fact nobody is required to have a webcam but if you do, the presenter can be seen by the other participants. Changing presenters/moderators is easy. You can activate the built-in browser and the participants can see the web pages you are talking about and listen to you at the same time.
Of particular interest to me was desktop sharing. It’s very useful when you are coaching someone or trouble shooting. For example, if you want me to help you troubleshoot something, using desktop sharing, I can log into your computer and take over control of your mouse and keyboard and show you step by step what to do. Or you can log into my system if needed. Basically it’s like sharing the same computer to learn. One person does it and the other watches over his shoulder. Really expedites learning and trouble shooting.
Now why would this be of interest to you?
Picture yourself having a new product or service? A prospect is interested but in another country or city. With the audio video features of web conferencing and desktop sharing, you can show and tell in no time at all. You make a sale, the customer is up and running, win-win for both parties.
If you are in network marketing and get a new member, imagine how easy it will be to get the new member trained and up to speed.
In addition to business use, you can also use these features for family talk and sharing – lt’s like Skype on steroids.
I already use their web hosting and auto responders so I did not need to test those. As a side note, I like the response speed of their customer support team.
What I hadn’t tried before was their Webinar / Web Conferencing and Desktop sharing service and needless to say, I am impressed.
When you sign up for their hosting service you get all these services for Free!. Don’t you think it will help you close more sales? And for less than the cost of a single hearty meal!
Other good features are file sharing and video presentation. If you have a video on your computer, you can upload it and all attendees can watch it together. Same with files.
Are you beginning to see why I was finding it hard to believe?
Last year, I had tried a service called DIMDIM and that was a total disaster. Besides, it was expensive. I would suggest you seriously look into GVO Web Conferencing as part of their web hosting services. If you are only interested in their webinar and web conferencing services, then look into MeetCheap.
