I am doing a little research and trying to figure out when a sale works and what kind of sale? I need your input based strictly on your experience. What has worked for you? For example, you may say “Sales” work best for us when we tie it to an occasion like Memorial Day or Labor Day’. You may also say xx Percent Off works best for us or $ Off works best for us or a Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) works best for us. I will then compile them and share with all of you right here.
Please mention in the comments section below:
1. Your industry
2. Type of Sale (tied to some occasion or not)
3. Percentage or Absolute Dollars or BOGO type
4. Any other point that you think is relevant.
Free Shipping:
We offered free standard shipping and that seemed to get sales perk up. You’ve go to be careful though. If you are shipping heavier items with smaller margins, it can eat up all your profits.
