Nobody can compete with Google as far as the sheer volume of accumulated data is concerned. Yahoo has given up and Bing is a very very distant competitor. So you would think why would somebody even try to enter the search engine marketplace – and you are right. However; this has not deterred innovation. People keep coming up with new ideas around search concepts. One new entrant in this area is http://duckduckgo.com.

You cannot submit your site to DuckDuckGo because it does not really crawl sites like a traditional search engine. DuckDuckGo’s focus is on taking search results from other search engines and sifting through it to present you with better results, that is with less clutter and spam. Try it, you’ll like it.
